Materials

We buy whole trees and burls from local loggers, tree surgeons and farmers. To slice them into boards we use an Alaskan chainsaw mill. Local sawmills can’t usually handle this wood because the logs are too irregular, too large or may contain metal - in the form of nails, maple sugaring spiles or hammock hooks - which would ruin an expensive sawblade.
